This thread is solely intended to archive photos and explanations of original factory engines and engine bays in 1970-81 Camaros. Please refrain from:

Posting images of modified or after market components (unless it is a dealer supplied/installed option or used to illustrate the differences between OE and repop).

    Asking questions

    Answering questions

    Posting WTB/WTS requests

Making comments about posts (take it outside the thread)

    __________________________________________________________________
As a courtesy, if it is not your photo it would be nice to credit the source.

A useful suggestion from 70lt1z28: “For any posts on originality it would be nice if anyone posting would post the build date and the plant (LA or Norwood) from the TT. This is ONLY if the poster is sure that the part is original to the car.”

NOTICE: This thread will be ruthlessly edited and moderated. If folks can't abide by the above parameters then it will be locked to limit posts. You have been warned.

1970 Z28 Smog hose clamps, orig vs repop. IMO, repops are junk.
I find the repop bolt will eventually make a bolt indentation mark in
the hose if it's tightened too much.

A minor detail item from my '70 Z/28. Not sure when it was first used or how long before it might have changed, but here is a correct style original Horn Wire GROMMET.
