Haven't been on here for like a pretty long time...focused on life shit mostly. My wife and I made decision in our retirement to move from Ontario and built a house in New Brunswick with a detached garage. I finally have a garage that will accommodate the wife's car and all my own hobbies. My car now has a cozy space to spend winters while I work on it.

Nice garage, I bet it won't be too long before it is full of tools and car parts!

My sister lives out where you used to. She works at Chalk River and lives in Petawawa.

Congrats on the move Jim! I'm sure you'll enjoy all the extra garage space. Are you going to have it heated?

Dude, the Tyvek goes on the outside, over the sheeting and under the siding!

My garage is fully insulated and heated by geothermal in-floor radiant heating, 10ft ceiling and the floor in my bay is re-enforced for a future hoist. I asked the builder to not finish the walls so I could research some wall products for workshop stowage, and is why he installed the tyvek for now. The walls were pre-built and then the province came out with a new exterior wall insulation code, so it's kinda like a vapour barriered shell with an inner wall that I don't need to worry about poking holes and compromising the barrier.
