Just in case, check the hoses. The inlet hose from the metal line to the pump could be cracked and suck air. Also check the oil to make sure no gas went into the crankcase from a torn fuel pump diaphragm.

ok...would gas in the oil make the car not start? Im having a problem where the car will start and run for a while then when i turn it off and try to start it again it just whines like its started or like im hold the key to long but then it doesn’t start?
Could it be bad spark plugs?

Check the plugs, maybe their soaked with gas from being flooded. A wet plug won't fire.
