Thinking about the basic LS1 swap. Most likely a 5.3L. Has anyone done this and how much of a pain is it to get through the emissions test for the Denver area? The car is a 79.

Being a 79 it will go through an Idle test not the regular test that newer cars go through. Quoted from their website "Vehicles manufactured in 1981 and older will be inspected using a two-speed idle test." That and it'll have to pass a visual inspection so make sure there's a CAT on there somewhere.

PS - I wouldn't mention the engine swap at all.
