Hi All, I'm wanting to solve a death wobble I get after I lift off at the end of a drag race.

The car seems to steer itself from side to side, it's only slight but it's quite off putting as it happens at around 130mph

Since the car has been restored, all new suspension, springs, bushes have been used

So I thought I should start by comparing what wheel alignment other Pro Street style 73' Camaros are running that also run frequently at the drags
My wheel alignment looks like this Toe=0, Caster=1.23, Camber=0
I run regular radials at the front, and MT Drag radials at the rear

    Thanks for any help

I have had this happen in the past with cars and typically they need a little bit of Toe in. Try an 1/8" in.

Agree on a whisker of toe in, think we shot for 1/16 on mine.

Were you on the brakes at all?

At zero toe at ride your toe is going out when you let off and the front dives down. I think mine is set at 1/16th of a inch at ride height. I know when the front end comes up my tires toe in more, I think 1/8 per inch, but don't quote me on that. I set the toe myself about 15 years ago.

Mine got hairy with radial fronts and bias rears. Try bias fronts.

Hi, not on the brakes, just lifting off brought this on, accelerating again made the sway stop

I've never mixed Radials and Crossply's

More caster would help give the steering a heavier feel and help it find center.
Take away that shopping cart feeling....;)

Running drag radials at very low press will cause the car to get loose thru the lights once off the throttle , try going up in air pressure
