Does anyone know what Leds would work in place of the oem bulbs or have done this all ready maybe. I would like to change color in dash to blue without changing out to new to new aftermarket gauges.

E-Bay has dash LED upgrade kits that are plug and play. probably any color you want. 8.99 plus ship. I could not get the link to copy and paste. Just Type in your year and Camaro Dash light upgrade to LED.

Do an internet search for LED's using the pn of the bulb you want to replace. I.e. 194 LED

The replacement LED for a conventional 194 is correct, if you can find dimmable LEDs you might be happier than with those that only light to full intensity. I installed them in the '79 Z/28 earlier this year and they're pretty bright! You'll also want to check each socket to be sure your connections are good, I had to bend most of the tabs to have better contact with the printed circuit. Your signal bulbs are likely to flash more rapidly as the LEDs have less resistance than a conventional bulb

From what I've read on changing to LED bulbs it requires a special LED flasher for turn signals due to the low amp draw of LED bulbs. I haven't done this yet so I don't know if this is a must or a sales pitch. Anyone else have the experience of going to LED turn signal bulbs?

You only need the electronic flasher if you change the signal light bulbs.
The dash "signal indicator" bulbs will work fine with the factory flasher.

Yes, the LED bulbs should be the replacement version of the #194, I installed a set in the '79 Z/28 this year. The bulbs are very bright and if the version you chose is not dimmable, they'll be bright 100% of the time. Be sure to buy the resistor as well, the turn signals flash very quickly. You may also experience issues in trying to get them all to light. I tweaked the contacts in nearly every socket both to get them to contact the printed circuit, and to contact the bulbs correctly. Good luck with yours!
