I have been looking through old threads and have not found a definitive answer on what is the correct lug size for a 71 Z. I know they are 5/16 thread - 20. What is the correct socket size? 3/4 or 13/16? Pictures would be appreciated. Thank you. Mark

The "correct" lug nut for a 71z for a complete set you would not probably be able to afford. There is one, that is only one piece and not a set, on eBay for 135.00. This is probably one of the single most expensive restoration items you will look for. I doubt that many of the Legends level cars even have correct lug nuts. I went to the recent MCACN in Chicago and can't remember seeing any cars with the correct nuts.
The correct thread size is 7/16-20. The correct socket size is 3/4".

That’s the same guy that’s selling a NOS 1971 shift knob for $325.00.

Along with the reverse lockout rod. I think there's one still on Ebay at $550.

The guy with the expensive prices is Kentucky courtyard. I have bought a few parts from him in the past, but not the super expensive ones. He sounds like a nice guy on the phone, but i cannot understand his very high prices. I like my BB 1970 SS 396 Camaro, but we are not talking about Rolls Royce or Ferrari cars. The worst guy is 427 guy in Connecticut.
