Having that converter back where it belongs would give me a pretty good chuckle, I still have it because of a swap I did with a guy that had a Z with an M22, anyway to make a fat story thin I kept the converter, I pulled it from the TH400 in 1979, the odometer had a shade over 70,000 miles and the trans had no issues, I have to say this, there is not another trans on this planet that shifts like a TH400 :) I'm a long way from you in another country and that converter is one heavy lump!! be glad to help out any way I can.

Zulu28 and I struck a deal on the above converter and I recently installed it in the 70 Z28. The difference it made over the previous incorrect converter is incredible. Completely changes the attitude and drivability of the car. 2300 rpm stall speed just as some of you mentioned. Wonderful to have a correct original part that had been on a dusty shelf for 40 years go back into a correct vehicle. This is why I love forums like this. Thanks to all of you for helping to make this happen!
