There have been a couple to threads over the last couple of years on this topic. In case you missed them here are the links:

Anyway I have supplemental information to share. I recently located a complete original road test of a 70 Z-28 with COPO 9796 published in July 1970 and yes - it has the front spoiler.

I have been invited to the Forge show and will attend. Copies of the COPO 9796 road test will be on display with my car.

If you want to go here is "The Forge" link:

Hope to see and meet many of you there.

Phil, Thanks for bringing this July 1970 (must have been written in May??) Magazine article to light. The picture below, shows the front spoiler and another page (I have all four) shows the TALL COPO spoiler. For those reading that dont know, Phil B from Ohio has been involved in this 70 Camaro restoration muich longer than most of his here. His judging contributions and overall involvement in the "hobby" are appreciated by all that know him......

I have a few questions regarding this post.
In the magazine article it says that the introduction was delayed until late February. My car has a January 27 1970 shipping date. Can this be correct? I am also interested to know if my car had any spoilers when new. I have the GM Canada documents but D80 is not on the option list. Not a big concern but I am just curious.
    Thanks John

I've had the pleasure of seeing this car in person a couple of times and must say it is an absolutely beautiful car.

Chuck, let me help you out with the pics.

    Good Question
I have seen the AIR pumps with and without the relief valve on the top.
A good friend of mine has an original LS6 car he brought new and it has the valve.
