Does the factory temp gauge use a 1-wire or 2-wire temp sender? How do I wire up the gauge?

I've got nothing to start with here and the wiring diagrams don't really help!

One wire from the sensor on the engine. Temp gauge, one wire to ground the other to the sensor.

So the sensor should be a single prong? So wire from the sensor to gauge, then gauge to ground? The gauge uses its own ground, independent of the printed circuit on the cluster?

Both wires might be on the printed circuit. Been a long time since I’ve been back there. As long as you’re not trying to be correct like in using the printer circuit only you can still run wiring to the gauge.
