cdf 207 blocks

    • is this a 400 engine block and it only has 2 freeze plugs on the sides.making a 383 and hear the 400 block is best.if so what is the number on that block. thank you all for helping this old man.

    Here's the only thing I found on Mortec with that number; 14010207...350...80-85...2 or 4. So if that's correct, you have a 350 block, used from 1980 to 1985, with either 2 or 4 bolt mains. The most common combination to reach 383 cid is a 350 (4") bore with a 400 (3.75") crank. Using a 400 block and 350 crank will yield 377 cid.

    which would i get more hp from ,350 with 400 crank or a 400 with 400 crank bought stroked.202 heads, cam and such.what is each cu.in. and hp of each.

    Can you talk about goals for the car and what you have already?
