I attended the OCC Camaro Nationals a few years (2005 pics) and it was okay. Most people were from southern Ontario and a few from the Detroit area (see the 427-600 ZL1 Supercar pics). The best thing about the Nationals is the Saturday afternoon cruise with police escort through the Niagara-on-the-lake region. The roads have a mix of being able to open her up and just soaking in the looks from people as 100+ Camaros drive by.

It's human nature. The 67-69 guys sat together. Then little clicks within those years. The 70-81 guys together. Again clicks based on whether it was original. Then the originals in all years clicks. It got to be like highschool after awhile. My family and I hooked up with another 2nd gen couple (well. Her car was a 68 but I won't fault her for that. :)). I will let them know if we are going to Carlisle and hopefully they will be able to make.

I like the camping idea. Maybe someone can drop me a line with info on which campground and contact info.

    Cheers,
    Ken

Ken, most of the folks camp right on the grounds at Carlisle. If you look at the entry form on the American Camaro Association website, there is a place for your to reserve and pay for a camping spot on your car registration form.

If you aren't bringing a Camaro, register it anyway, as it's cheaper than paying admission and parking on a daily basis. For your entry fee, you get admission for 2 adults and 2 kids, plus a parking sticker for your car fot the whole weekend - and the goodie bags.

Time is counting down...maybe not fast enough now that I have my registration form and a cheque in the mail...I'm heading down to Carlisle for the GM show at the end of June

Was just wondering who all else if any are going down too? If there's anyone from the Ottawa area would like the adventure and don't have their own wheels can call "shotgun" as I'm going down alone...and I'm easy to get along with too! Just a thought, if anyones interested...leaving on Thursday 24th and coming back Monday 28th...
