I'm in the market for c5 front brakes with the C5 style hubs. I can go with the CPP spindle with ZR1 hubs. But have read some negativity about the CPP brand products. Can the AFX spindle be used with a GM lower with delrin bushings and aftermarket tube type upper and tall ball joint ? I have 18x9 wheels.

Why do you need c5 bearing packs?

By AFX you mean the speedtech spindles? If so you should call them.

Right here. If you want C5 brakes, they sell a good kit. If you want something more aggressive like 6 piston calipers, 14" rotors etc. look at the names like Baer and Wilwood as they will have a price competitive kit over Z06

Don't buy the ZR1 hubs, the C7 hubs bolt right on, have a larger bearing and thicker wheel mounting flange, and cost about $120 each vs the $400+ the ZR1 hubs cost. Gm part# 20981829. I just replaced the C5/6 bearing on my wife's car with a DSE subframe and they bolted right on.

The CPP uprights are fine, it's the garbage hubs and brakes that are the problem. After having one come apart, they asked me ' You're not autocrossing with these are you?' It cost me another $1200 to make them work correctly. CPP's answer was to supposedly put a disclaimer in their printed catalog.....

Yep - it's the only car left. GM has some strange point of pride with that bolt pattern and Vette's
