    subframe bushings

    Any chance you could re-post those PICS from your dialog on replacing the bushings?

    Those pics were lost in a hard drive crash several years ago. :(

    There's a much better write-up here. --> http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251412

    I'm very interested in learning more about the sub frame alignment holes - where are they, what size bolts are used, are nuts required. If anyone has detailed information on checking the alignment, I would appreciate. I've often suspected my SF is misaligned, based on the different fender shims required left to right, but wasn't sure how to go about confirming this. Also, I see some rebuilders completely removing the SF for blasting and painting. I've always been concerned that proper alignment could not be re-established. How accurate are these alignment holes and has anyone run into trouble re-installing there SF.

    The alignment holes are next to the subframe mounts under the firewall (middle set of mounts).
    5/8" diameter bolts, no nuts.
    You can thread the old sub frame bolts (if they aren't too rotted away) through the alignment hole and into the body. If everything is aligned correctly, there isn't much play there.

    I have the same problem on my car. What did you use to cut off the bolt head?
