Been working on this off and on for a year or so. Started with a 396 Big block and 4 speed. The car seemed to run OK but was not what I was after.
Sold the engine and transmission and bought a wrecked 2001 Z28 and installed the LS1 and 6speed. Buying a complete car was the way to go used all kinds of parts from it.
Found a great buy on a new LS3 525hp new crate engine and got it before I ever drove the LS1.
Rebuilt the front suspension with tubular A arms and C5 spindles, Viking coil over shocks and 1.25 sway bar and new steering box. Used brakes from a C5 Z06. I 4 linked it in the back and used the 4th gen brakes. Put xxr 527D wheels 18/9 255/40front and 18/10.5 295/40rear
The car was HOT ROD black when i got it which was hiding a couple of bad places had to put on a door skin and a patch panel. I worked all last summer on painting the car. Ended up going with Audi nardo gray.

That looks really nice! I'd love to see more pics of the work you did to her.

I've got a full front bumper with fangs. Also have most of the parts to do a full RS conversion. I think I'll just do the front bumper.

Just about ready to put the car on the road and a great deal on a Supercharger came up. Looks like its going to be a lot of work. It's for a 2013 camaro and the crate engine I have has Corvette spacing on the harmonic balancer, AC,PS so I need to work around that. No Hot Rod Power Tour for me this year. No car, time or money.

Drove it today for the first time with the LS3/525 and six speed. Now to put a few miles on it and then install the supercharger.
