My 74 Z28 bumper strips have a few pieces of rubber damaged a little bit. Does anyone know a good product/item to repair the strips? Thanks, George
Bumper Strip Repair The paint/body supply shop I use recommend a Lord Fusor product. I believe it is used to repair modern bumper covers. I used it to repair some small to medium tears and holes in my bumper strips recently. The product I used is a two-part mix and was used with a special mixing/dispenser gun. Once mixed, this dries very fast - but flexible enough to be used on the bumper strip. It can be sanded easily and painted with no problem. My front and rear bumper strips look like new and I am happy with the outcome.
Ok, nice. Do you have exact name for the Lords product that you used for your strips and where did you purchase it from? That's sounds like what I need to use on my bumper strips. Thanks,
Dose anyone know where to get the end rubber that attach on my 1974 camaro bumper? They fell off due to age. Thanks
You need to contact Plater Tom who is member on this forum. He had some made a couple of years ago and are very nice. I purchased 4 of them from him. Hopefully, he still has some of them. Good luck, George
