Autometer to factory harness

    im installing the ultra liteII and looking for the best gauge harness to tap in the factory harness looking for your feed back

    I think most people just make their own harness. I didn't feel like it after doing a ton of wiring on my car from scratch. I bought a painless gauge harness. But all my wiring was painless brand and not original.
    You will have to cut off or tap into the wires coming from the original plug

    The other end of the wires terminate into another connector. Make sure not to keep the soldering iron on the wires too long so as not to overheat/melt the factory connector. Just enough to tack solder the wires in place.

    99.9999999999999% I'll never go back to factory instrumentation, but if I ever did, I simply unsolder the wires from the terminals.
