Pretty impressive car, and if I read it right it will go across the block on Friday, not good for getting a bargain on it I suspect. I'd guess over $20k. I like the car though!

    Then there's that buyer's premium.

The friday & sat evening time slots usually are reserved for cars expected to bring the most money and the buyer will pay an additional 6 to 10% of the final sale price as a premium to the auction house, part of their fee.

Nice car. interesting build choices. wrong stripes. wrong color wheels. 78s didn't get wheel flares. Wrong hood.

So that is the second car slated to go on Friday. That is NOT a premium time slot for Mecum, so they do not consider this a high dollar car. Buyers premium for Mecum is 10% on top of the hammer price. So if the car sells for say $15k, you are really in it for $16,500

If you are really interested, I can check my Mecum books tonight when I get home and see if there is any additional information in them. It is odd to me that the first 29 cars on Friday are all no reserve cars, so I am wondering if they are part of a collection. We are registered for the Kissimmee event, but I don't want to use vacation this early in the year

It has the correct hood/scoop for a 78 but Bonzo is correct on the rest. Wrong stripe package (79 stripes?) /wheels/flares.
Dash has been cut for a stereo and what's with all those holes in the air cleaner?

Could you get a 78 without a console?

The ad says nothing about matching numbers and the car is basically a stripper with no AC, power windows, etc.
    $12-13K car at the max
