Seems the stuff I bought from Summit is B/O for 2 months! Is it even needed to assemble hoses or is the stuff just oil?

    Thanks,

I use motor oil. I pore some in the cap and dip my finger in there and wipe it on the inner part of the fitting going into the line. I tried some spray silicone lube and WD-40 but I think the oil works best. No lube is needed if you are assembling PTFE lines.

They are Russell nylon braided hoses for my oil system.

Put some anti-sieze on the threads just in case you want to take them apart later.

Anti on the threads and oil on the part or nipple that goes into the hose. That's what I do now after the threads galled from just oil. You don't want anti seize in your hose. That stuff gets everywhere if you don't watch it. Lol!

white lithium grease on the male end while you push hose on, the grease travels up to the threads and tighten.

Remember the outside piece that goes over the braided line has left hand thread.
