Wow a 19,000 mile LT thats missing the LT chrome trim on the rear panel. Thats gotta be the one thing missing on most 74 LT cars.
As promised..The car arrived today and I got the dust off. Wow! This thing is in better shape than I thought. Not bad after 37 years. Original everything including the valve caps. Check out the last registration - Dec 1977. Also, I took pictures of the speedo at 19K miles.
Looks like my dad started tinkering with it and forgot he left the aircleaner off. I'll probably have to make a trip to CA to gather a few minor items. I'll keep posting as I go through it. Thanks for the interest and helpful hints.
Car looks awesome. I have a question about door panels for those of you more in the know than myself. What package gets door panels like these instead of the ones with pockets. I know my 74 had pockets and my 77 has pockets. If you were going to replace these what would you get because all I recall seeing is the ones that are two or three piece depending on the year.
Very, very nice. Even at only 19K miles it's in amazing condition. Air conditioning to boot.
Wow great looking original car. i have a 74 z28 same color combo except no lt trim package and i have the z28 decal. Your car inspires me to keep it and restore it. Beutiful car!!!
The 74 LT Z28 I bought in 1980 had one hanging on for dear life - it only had 18k miles and was a garage queen ...
so, yes, the sticky applied rear LT trim is hard to find and missing on most ...
and it was the same color as this one, but with black interior ... 4 speed, a/c
Sold it to my girlfriend ...
Those are the same basic door panel that I have on my '77. Mine are all vinyl. The insert only "looks" like it's cloth on mine.
