A little wet up here in the High Desert

    Wow, Hesperia has an elevation of over 3,000 feet. I didn't realize there were towns so close to LA, up that high.

    I just read one of your posts, so it snows that far south? But only in the winter, I take it? I remember seeing snow on mountains in Colorado in July years ago, but I think they were over 6,000 feet elevation.

    I'm over 100 miles NE from downtown L.A and 180 miles from Las Vegas . Also I'm just under 80 miles from the Southern edge of Death Valley

    Hesperia is just East of the North slope of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mtn ranges
