My '81 Z/28 has the seal around the air cleaner base for the Air Induction hood and the seal is no longer pliable. Do you have any product tips or suggestions for making it pliable again? Since they do not reproduce them (to my knowledge) I need to save this one. Thank you.

There are products that are called rubber rejuvenators they claim to put the elasticity back into the rubber. Just do a search on google cant hurt to try.

You can try cleaning it with Griots rubber cleaner/ rejuvenator but if it is cracking its probably too far gone. Those pieces show up on eBay though

I have found that soaking rubber parts in mineral spirits (in my parts washer) for a decent amount of time will soften rubber parts and make them swell a bit too.
