I need a new alternator for my 79 Camaro and can not seem to find a part number to order a new one , I would like to stick with AD Delco brand , any help would be appreciated ( the motor is completely stock)
    Thanks in advance

Look on the alternator. It is stamped with the output amperage. It would look something like 63A. Once you have that number, you can get a replacement at any auto parts store or supplier. You don't need a part number. But, if you want the part number, it is also stamped on the alternator along side the amperage.
What is wrong with your original one? They are cheap and easy to rebuild yourself if you buy a rebuild kit.

I was able to get a delco-remy from Napa a few years back. Not entirely sure if they're different than AC Delco.
