Whats up with the repo dash pads for us 78-81 guys? We've been waiting for years.

I see reworked dash pads for the earlier years, but not so much as a 1st design for the late years. Whats up?

There was a thread about this somewhere, but i cant find it now. Someone in that thread said "soon"...lol, had to be years ago at this point.

Any updates or can we assume that this will never happen?

I have been looking as well. My understanding is the older dash will fit as long as you are not going for a stock look and willing to change out the gauge cluster and all. I like that the new ones for the earlier years are more sturdy and higher quality as well.

If you have a good used now why do you want a new one?

Mine has a few small cracks/blemishes as expected in a 35 year old dash. Plus whoever painted/dyed it before me did a horrible job.

I'll be damned if i pull this one out just to paint it and put it back, I want new.

Have you thought about using a cap on it?
