My 74 came with the underhood wiring butchered but the car started. I am sorting thru the engine compartment harnesses and want to be sure that the interlock system was bypassed properly. I don't want to restore the function. What a previous owner did was cut the three wires leading to the override switch (pink, purple, green blk trace). The pink was just terminated and taped off. The purple and green with black trace were twisted together (I'll solder this junction). Is this a safe workaround? The wiring and what not under the seats is missing but I have not gotten a chance to get up under the dash and see what's what.
