You need to put togeather a 73 T/A Rob.
WOW! 3 days of reading your novel and I'm totally impressed with how the car turned out. Fantastic job! Your tenacity is enviable!
Got a question though...before doing this car, what kind of metalworking experience did you have?
I have a 73 LT as well with a good deal of body rot, but I have very very little experience in welding and metalworking. If the car was made of wood, I'd be all over it. Mechanics and wiring are no problem. My mind tells me I can do metal, I'm just a little afraid to "practice" on my car. What are your thoughts for this kind of project being done by a novice metal guy?
Thanks Jax... As far as metal working experience, I have worked with my welder on much heavier metal before starting my 73. There was alot of practice welding done before I was ready to weld on the camaro. So I was as much of a novice metal guy as you being I never welded on a car before..
You can do it too, Practice until you feel comfortable welding on the thin metal. Pick up a few scraps of metal from a bodyshop or junk yard to practice cutting welding and grinding. Good Luck with your car. Rob
OK, where are they?
Batteries died in my camera I will be better prepared for the next show.
I have a spare pack in my trunk!
