Anyone know what color is a match from SEM or other?
if your not able to figure it out you can take the bezel to a auto paint supplier and they can scan it and mix you something up.
I would but the bezel was repainted 30 years ago the wrong color. Unfortunately the guy took it off the car painted it and stuck it in a box (which preserved it from cracking) when he found a wood grain LT bezel and went with it instead.
Just a heads up, if you go to a store to look at the color of the SEM can lids (which is supposed to be the sprayed out color), they're not very accurate. Their color chart would give you a better idea. Seriously doubt if mine is original, but my bezel is black. I'll betcha bodymanbill would know.
i cant vouch for this car but it looks as all other 73-4s i've seen .
Zfool, You may want to contact Pete at Fbodywarehouse and ask him about a good SEM color to use. They sell the SEM Interior paints and re-dye parts for customers.
twozs, His picture of the bezel is the correct color of how they look in 73’s & 74’s dashes. Mine in my 74 Z28 came original like that too.
Is there supposed to be a chrome or silver edge around the bezel and gauges, or does it remain black?
Pretty sure it's black, the early one's and some deluxe woodgrain had chrome edges
Black and chrome edge description just like 1971camaroguy stated above.
I'll see what he says. Thanks
