Too bad. That sounds like a custom job, and those never work out well.

My 70 Camaro was built in Feb 1970 and it looks just like my 71 Camaros except for the seats that is. They stopped building the 69 Camaro in Decemeber I do believe and some states and dealerships may have listed them as 70 models because the usual switch over is in Sept. But they are still 69's as that is when they were built and is their body style. None of the 69's were built in 1970 which would make them a 70.

Measuring straight up from the door lock is just over 15", Your roof has been replaced,, improperly if it was a repair, or it was a "customization" that is hardly noticed until repair time comes.

I measured in the exact same location you did in your pics, and I measured 15" on the money

My 1970 Chev. Parts Catalog (Jan. 1970) only lists GM # 9825352 and 9825353 for the 1970 Camaro.

In 73, the Camaro headliner switched mid year to a solid cardboard unit. I must have a 73 1/2 Camaro.

Was it exactly the "middle" of the year, or was it a month off in either direction? You might have a 73 5/12 or a 73 7/12 Camaro.

  10. yall are a bunch of jerks, this poor guys just found out his top was chopped.:whine: Sounds like a custom car, it might be more desirable:)
