The nose bolts right to the firewall of the car. The core support is different. I did the job on my 79 using a 74 core support and had to cut a lot of metal off the areas around the bottom of the radiator. I just got a new core supports so I can redo the job the right way. The bumper brackets also bolt to the core support and dont work with the later support.

A '79 core support is definitely different from a '70-73 but I think a '77 is the same as the fenders are the same. DBL check me though before proceeding

the inner fenders for the 70-73 are one design, I believe that the 74-77 is another design and the 78-up another. Assuming the core supports are different as well, the 75 & up sub frame is different

I have a 76. It was fairly easy. Everything bolted up nicely. You do need to cut the horns to make lower valance fit. You need to weld the bumper support arms from top of support. I did away with them and made a plastic grille where the split bumpers would cover. I do not have a pic of that to show you. You need a 70-73 hood latch as well, plus headlight assembly and parking light assembly.
