I like it !!! nicely detailed.
I think you're right about not being directly on top....it was back in 2000 or 2001 when I found the stamp on my car....CRS creeping in
Would a CRE engine help him get the car back to period correctness under the hood?(maybe not because it is a L48 350/300 from an AT car)...the partial VIN behind that CRE matches my car though.
FOUND IT FOUND IT
I found the build sheet tucked under the pass seat rug up along side the trans tunnel, about even with the back left seat bolt in front of seat belt bolt right along side the tunnel wall. Just happen chance I saw it there. Was creeping around under the pass seat and lifted up the carpet at the opening to gte the the seat bolt down and saw a small corner of paper that looked like the discolored BS paper, sure enough that was it.
Vin matched my car and it lists out all the stuff that is on my car currently. This build sheet is in better shape then the wrong one I found.
Was shipped to a dealer in Albuqerque NM. I bet is stayed there through 96 as my investigation info shows it titled there till 96 the 96-2012 in AZ which I know is correct also by a title search also and story seller also told me.
L48, F41, G80, D55, M38, N10, A01, A02, GX1 just to list off a few codes that I am familiar with. This pretty much proves it is an SS I guess. Too bad the orig motor is gone darn it.
Makes ya wonder since I found TWO that there may be more. For now I have what I need, anymore found on any dismantle will have to wait for that day! ha ha
Congrats on the build sheet.
M383-speed automatic transmission, 300 deluxe OK what is a 300 deluxe?
Here's the build sheet from my 05D Citrus Green 4-speed/no AC SS:
My 06A Forest Green SS, which was optioned pretty much like yours, did not have a build sheet in it by the time it got to me. It's currently undergoing restoration and conversion to a 4-speed.
