Well it is finally going to happen, got the loan, money in the bank, talking to Contractor.

    I am building:

    32X50
Hip Roof on back, A Frame on front
    9’ walls all around

    Two rooms
16X32 Jam room/studio in Back of the garage/ no windows with ductless heat and air
32X34 Main Garage up front, 3 garage doors, Scissor truss in center for future lift

3 foot brick all around base to keep mud off the siding, house wrap on all outside walls,
extend concrete to driveway, and sidewalk down one side of garage.

We have had a lot of rain here, so builder is about 3 to 4 garages out from starting mine, I will post build here as we go:

    Rock On...

What do you have planned for the acoustics in the jam room? double staggered stud walls or even CMU walls might be the way to go.
Make sure you have plenty of power in both rooms you will want 100 amp sub panel at least! And lots of receptacles!
Keep us posted with the progress pics as you go.

Bama, you may also want to check out www.garagejournal.com for some ideas and I'm sure those guys would also love to see your build.

    TSkills10...

I love to see my build too, if this weather here would just settle down. Hahaha..

Way to much rain, i was 4 builds out when i posted this, now about 2 out...Rain at least twice a week sometimes 3 here for last two months...Warmer weather on the way now so, things should start moving alot faster...

I love the Garage journal, Ihave been going there for sometime now...

I would go for 3 single doors, that way you don't need to open the whole garage if one car has to drive out/in. But that's my opinion :p

I'd say one single and one double. I have two singles and I hate them.
