I did my first Power Tour with Bill, (Vsolo) and had the time of my life and the experiences will last for a lifetime. I had the same questions and concerns that a lot of you have, will my car be ok, what if I break down, what if I get lost. As Bill said, it takes planning but even the best made plans have glitches. I wound up breaking down on a back road somewhere in Alabama but had some spare parts with me and got the car going again to make it to the next venue to get the correct part. The new part came as a gift from the MSD folks who answered my woes by giving me a brand new in the box plug and play billet distributor. Oh and by the way if you do have problems there are no less than three people stopping to help. When I broke down Bill was behind me I lost all power and drifted into an old gas station and before we knew it the whole lot was filled with people asking if they could help including the staff from Hot Rod Magazine who put a shot of me working on my car in the magazine,( not how I wanted to get in there but hey I'll take it. That was just one experience among so many on the trip. We would stop in a gas station on the way out I think in Ohio before our planned stop at Summit Racing and two guys came up to us and asked, is it Power T our time again? I could go on and on but to wind this up if there is any way you can do one of these DO IT!!!! you'll not regret it. I am getting another car hopefully ready to do the 2018 Tour with Bill and the group from BangShift and can't wait.

Here are some more pictures, when we pulled in there it was just an old dead gas station. Notice no people

JerryL being interviewed by "Some Guy" we had no idea at the time that he was the head of Hot Rod Magazine.

The funniest and most embarrassing part for me was, they did a video too and they were going to have us drive off (into the sunset) with the cars going up the road.
I hit the gas & stalled DOH !!!!!! I still don't know why it did it, it never stalls.. so our 15 seconds of fame in a video was lost because of me haha

You did come out ahead though. A brand new MSD dizzy wasn't too bad a trade.

HRPT is a treat and the route is very favorable for us southerners this time around. I'm in for sure as it runs right thru my backyard. As far as security for the cars, every hotel I've been at on the tour have hired security that night. The group I run with is about 9 cars deep for the last 7 years and have never run into a problem. I've heard of issues before but that was before me. I'll be in the 75 Malibruiser. parkshot2.jpg
