I know this may be a long shot. Wait....a very long shot. I also understand this isn't many of you guys cup of tea and I'm fine with that. But, with all do respect, I repeat....RESPECT, I don't need a lecture about how it doesn't look right and how you may not like the thin, side-wall tires it requires and all of the other stuff that comes along with it. But, I'd like to ask and see if any of y'all are running a 20" rear tire on your 70-73. I actually prefer a 19" on the rear honestly, but I got a line on a set of wheels that are 19" fronts and 20" rears. At that price, I'm considering it. They are 3-piece wheels and we all know that they are expensive and while I can afford them new, I'd be saving a drastic amount on the possible ones I'm looking at and can save about $4k. So, you can see why I'm considering these. Can anyone post pics if they have a 20" rear tire please. By the way I'm new to the forum as you can see and definitely don't mean to be rude, but I'm just new here and not to the car building world by any means nor new to forums and know how guys can be mean and will berate the newby. LOL!! I'm not sensitive or thinned skinned at all and can joke with the best of them. I look forward to having fun over here.

Thanks bro...I appreciate it. There's some nice cars over here. I recently bought a 72 RS and going either full DSE suspension...subframe and Quadralink or either a full chassis from Roadster Shop. Not sure yet as far as which I'm going with. Engine will be an LS7 4.0 Whipple supercharged 427. Here are a few engine teaser shots until then. Hope y'all like them. Let me know and ask any questions you may. Again, I'm not a sensitive guy. If y'all wanna know why I like bigger wheels, just ask.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a cool build. I am really interested to see how your supercharger set up comes together....

As an FYI, IMO this site is very different than most...there are really no a-h0les on here and people don't break stones just for the sake of it or fun, it makes it a good community to be a part of....

Thanks 8pack, that's good to know. I've been a member on some forums and it was just plain ridiculous. Didn't necessarily group this forum in that crowd, but I'm sure you know exactly what I was getting at. The motor should be finished in the next month or so. I'll be running a 10-rib Wegner accessories drive and a T56 Magnum will be behind it. The wheels I was inquiring about in my first post are a set HRE's that they don't make anymore and that's why I want them so bad. Ironically, I called HRE just last week trying to beg them to go into the program archive's a make a set, which they declined. LOL!! But, if that doesn't work out I will get a set of Forgeline's with the centerlock conversion.

Welcome to the forum...here are a few shots of my setup. They are 20x10, I don’t know the offset, much like you I basically stole them at the price I paid (with tires). They were originally on a BMW so a 1” spacer and hub ring were used to make them fit. The car is still just a roller so I can’t tell you if I will bottom out but from the looks of things it doesn’t appear that they will rub.

Do you plan on using the stock LS7 block?

Slyone, thanks a lot for the input. I wanted to see what a 20" would look like in relation to how big its looks in the rear of the car and not wanting it to look too big which is what I was hoping for. Thanks again.
