I mounted mine under the car pass side, 1.5-2" gap from floor with rubber mounts. The picture angle makes it look close to driveshaft but it is not and the fan does not hang past the sub frame rail that much like in the picture angle.

Yellow sleeve is kevlar based protection.....................

that's how I have it on my drag Camaro , but I can't do it on this one ; I plan on running a full dual exhaust on the car and that location is reserved for the mufflers :)

    a little update :

managed to weld the wastegates to the elbows :

and this is how they look on the car :

I'm happy with how symmetric they look and how well the vent tube from the wastegate will reach the exhaust down pipes.

so next up like I mentioned before , is removing the piping and intercooler , cleaning the insides of them , powder coating what needs to be powder coated , re installing everything, then installing the nose back on and figuring out the hood latch .

Are your wastegate down tubes gonna be free hanging or plumbed back in?

the plan is to have them snake back under the turbo into the down pipe.

May I suggest welding on some gussets to the wastegate pipes, hanging out like you have them with heat cycles will fatigue the pipe and start cracks.

Plumbing the exit ports into downpipes may help support the units though..........................

example on my car, the gates hang low so I had to put extra supports (gussets)...........

    not really ,
been busy with a bunch of other stuff and projects.

I should get back into it again real soon . the plan is to finish the cold side piping completely ( meth nozzles , bov flange , poweder coating , etc.), then install the nose and start working on the hood latch and rad hold down. after that I should start on the down pipes and associated stuff :)
