looking to see if folks have a picture or diagram of the 1980 z28 fuse box. I have a blue wire not connected to the fuse box. It's just hanging there. Who knows it might be from some modification over the years. I haven't identified anything besides the wiper pump not working so far.

Just getting familiar with this old girl. Thanks all!

Where does the other end of the blue wire lead to?

Does it have any type of connector on the end?

    I don't think that's a factory wire.

It appears to have a male tab to plug in to an accessory, battery or ignition slot in the middle of the fuse block.

Trace it to see where it goes.

A quick look and not easy to see where it leads. Didn't look like 30 year old factory wire to me either. I wonder what in the world would need an aftermarket power source? Seems pretty close to factory everything on the car. The motor has been updated with a Holley carb.

Nothing other than backup lights and license plate lights seem to be an issue that I can see just yet.

It might have had an Electric choke at one time.

Really hard to say what it was for without seeing where it leads.

Twisted-metal. I traced the blue wire. The updated radio cassette player looks like where it is coming from. Updated maybe in 1985 from the looks of the radio (no brand). It has two wires coming to the fuse box. One is connected with the same connector type and this one is loose. No worries for the car I guess. The radio sounds cruddy. Not sure what that other power source would do for it.

    Thanks for the reply.
