Where did you get your rims redone? I am also in the Twin Cities (Eagan) and want to change mine from black to silver just like yours. Can I ask how much $$ per wheel? Any issues with the Z28 cap fitting? I heard from one guy that they had the insert area machined and it was bigger than what the caps were and he had to use an O-ring to make them fit. Thanks for any info!

Hi John. Got them done at Twin City Wheel Repair in White Bear Lake. It was $700 for all 4. He put a clear coat over them. The center caps did not fit snug before and fit a little tighter now so i think the clear coat added a little bit. He did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. He knows what he is doing for sure.

Gave her a wash over the weekend and cleaned the blue off of the new tires. I really like the white text tires and the rims turned out and look great on the car. Can't wait for summer. Leaf springs getting installed next week over spring break :) fullsizeoutput_171c.jpeg 5og+f7+yRIyljkMmyQtR7g.jpg

I always thought that it would be "interesting" to build a hood that mimics the look of the stock hood and scoop of these cars, but taller for increased air cleaner clearance and with functional air intake. It is easy enough to swap an aftermarket cowl induction hood onto one, but IMO, the hood scoop is one of the defining design aspects of this model.

Car looks fantastic. I always liked the black with orange stripes or even blue. Black and gold is classic but overdone. I'll double down on the comment about the rims. They look fantastic. I really wish the turbines would get more love and wish a company would reproduce them like the five spokes. Mine need to get refinished and I'm so paranoid about where to have them refinished. Does this place have a website? Thanks
