I've got my set of YJ8 (N90) turbine wheels being restored and the shop called and said they cannot find a newer reference to the 14P textured bright silver paint needed for this wheel. The assembly manual also shows WA8150 (water based) Has someone here got a definitive match for the paint to do my wheels? If you've got the code(s), let me know asap so I can pass it along to the shop doing my wheels.

I dug up my old paint code list from Sherwin Williams. This is what I found. This list does not have the chips. I will look at other years to see if that code was used. I only had this part in my office I have another out in the Garage somewhere. Might have chips. Where did you find the WA8150 code at? WA 7022 is the only code for wheels on Chevy listed. Hope you can see this info. I could not get a perfect pic. The other two Silver Met codes I believe are body color and only used the 2 digit code back then.

Those wheels were made by "Western Wheel"... They probably came from Western pre-finished in the colors Chevy used for these wheels. (Black, Gold and Silver)

Finding a GM paint code might be difficult as they probably didn't actually paint these wheels at a GM plant.

I don't remember ever seeing the turbine wheels on any Camaro other than 1978 or 79 Z28s.
