When the rain stops I'll get under there and take some measurements.
I may just play it safe & go with the stock 15" size all around. Stock 14" have 205/75/14's on there (205/70/14 on mine. The 15" version goes to a 235/60/15 that keeps the same height but goes to 9.3" width from the stock 14" width of 8.2". I want less sidewall & more width. I bolted my new 15X8 (4.25 backspace on there & had a look. Doesn't seem I would have an issue at all going to 9.3" wide from 8.2". I want BF Goodrich T/A Radials by choice, & possibly Cooper Cobra's by budget. Theres about a $40-50 price difference from one to the other.
I ran 245/60R15 on 15x7 for years and years. The 15x7 wheels had zero offset. I did not have rubbing problems in front, and no problems at all in the rear. I have a 1976 LT with stock springs.
