You have the correct bracket. The 74 is different from the 73. I will try and post the picture I have. Or maybe George will post one of his.

The short cut bracket came on my 74 z28. I thought it was cut by a a former owner. Now I purchased a exact uncut to replace it. I'm not sure what is correct. Can anyone else help out here?

See The L48 and Z28 "accelator controls" in the 1974 Factory AIM ....sheet 5 , UPC. 6N....

The pic there is really good . Mine looks like the pic in my factory aim drawings.

Definetly is not the short one. The long one you show doesn't look exactly right either....I'd say it's for another car or year

Look in the assembly manual it's pretty clear drawing......several views of it.......clear as mud in the book

The part number is 340651 in the drawing.......I don't know if the number is on the part itself .

Twozs, I appreciate any feedback and never thought of yours as misleading. A lot of similar things between 73 and 74 engine wise.

I think its a long bracket type for the 74. Unfortunately I don't have an assy manual.
It would be great to get a pic of an original to confirm.
    Thanks again guys!!
