Fellow members I need your knowledge again. I have a 1973 Z not matching numbers. I have everything that is numbers correct for the engine. I'm starting to do the engine phase of my car. I have a set 330545 heads that are bare. I need to know is there a complete set of cam, springs, and intake, exhaust valves, or do I have to buy items separately? Is there a better manufacture? Also I just want to build as to GM specifications for 1973 Z. Thank you for everyone's advice. Shawn

If you check out Competition Products they have Howards cam &lifters L46 350/350hp GM3896962 (used in L82 also) .450/.460 224/224@ .050 114 lsa they also have stock Z28/LT1 valve springs from both Howards and Hi Teck Racing for a very low price under $30 a set they offer an Elgin cam of a similar GM grind 3863151 327/350hp .447/.447 223@.050 114 lsa in standard and elgin ice packages they also offer good deals on complete valve packages on SS 2.02/1.6 the L46 Howards cam is the one that was used (GM made)for 73 and 74 Z28 engines and all Vette L82 The Elgin line of cams is as good as any low buck or replacement type out there and IMO Howards are up with any brand you wish to compare to both the Hi Teck and Howards springs spec out the same at 1.250 OD 115#at 1.70 installed Ht and 300# at 1.250 bind at1.16 I think either of these springs are better then the stock springs used on the production heads . If you need to get screw in studs i highly suggest using only ARP or GMPP only I hope this helps
