Original or not, for 700 bucks it would be on my trailer already.

I wouldn't have even posted it until it was in my possession!

It’s mine if I go pick it up no one else knows of the car and I have first buy choice. But I know what you guys mean I just wanted to see if I can learn about it before I decide to pick it up . I have been dealing with the owner for last three months. I’m actually posting about the car to try an learn about what the car is before I close the deal.

Does anyone know the production numbers for cars built in 73 with those options together. I would also like to know how many were produced with the 4speed?

There are no real hard numbers to go by. 11574 Camaro Z28 were built in 73, approximately 6100 were 4 speed cars. If you add in that 1 out of 6 Camaro were ordered with the RS package you could say there were 1000 RS Z28 4 speed cars? Now add in the LT model and some have speculated that the number could be as low a 350 cars?

    Reno NV,
There were 11574 1973 Z28,s. No way to know how many were RS or Type LT. When it has all 3 along with a/c and the rear defogger it makes it very desirable. 4494 came with the m21 close ratio 4 speed. Is it rare ? Depends on what you call rare, some people think that a car has to be one of 100 or so made to be rare. Others think one of 10000 is rare. IMHO any massed produced car (camaro) that is just one of under 12000 that is matching numbers after 45 years the way camaro's were abused is somewhat rare. Buy it! The parts on it are worth it if you don't or can't restore it.

The RS option ended before the end of ‘73 production year due to government safety standards. So probably not a lot of RS’s sold that year. If that makes a difference to you.
