I"m going to go look at this car. It has the RS option with the 1970 COPO 9796 design 3 peice tall spoiler. Vin (123871L519318) confirms the 6 cylinder. My question is what options were actually available for a 6? The RS option is my favorite look but I'm having a hard time believing it was available for this stance.

You could order the RS option with any Camaro.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the middle of a full restore on my true blue 69 SS Chevelle but I've always had an eye for this car. My old brother ruined my younger brother and me. He's had several cars by the big 3 and we've never been the same since. I can't thank him enough. If this car turns out to be a good shell I can work with that and make it my own.

For 1971, the front spoiler and 3 piece rear one were no longer the COPO 9796 option. It was simply part of the RPO D80 spoiler option and was available on any Camaro the same as the RS option.

The guy was open to trading for my FLHT then bailed on me a few days later. Bummed, the hunt goes on.
