Hey guys, need some help on a 1970 Z build I'm about to get started on and could really use a referral or two. Background: rust free, orignal panel, numbers matcher that the previous owner disassembled some years ago. This will be my first "back to original" build and I'm needing some guidance. It's a ground up project so the slate is clean and I'm wondering if there is a restoration guide for correct finishes etc? I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes but I'd like to avoid easy ones like painting something the wrong color or buying the wrong repro parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Just came across this post. Check out 1970z28camaro.com. It is a 1100 mile original car. 100's of pictures.

Might want to post in the "Original Drivetrain Section"...that's where the "as built" crowd hangs out mostly. X77s' posted link to the 1100 mile survivor is a great start, but there are some differences between Van nuys and Norwood built cars....and the 1100 mile car is a Van Nuys built car.

    Good luck with the build.

Yeah, this is the sponsor section for "ground up".
