Fbody has them back on ebay for $120 shipped, any good?
Check this place out, bought a rear bumper from them last year very nice quality.
Bumpers are chromed in the USA
I bought the bumpers (front & rear) from Tamraz off ebay a little over 2 years ago. I'll try to figure out how to post a good photo of the bumper profile ASAP. My car is still in winter storage...not at my home. My car is a '73, and the rear bumper profile was just like the one I removed. The inner rubber inserts that fit on each end (I think they are there to protect the quarter when using the bumper jack) fit fine.
My car is not a trailer queen by any stretch, but I was happy.
Thanks, Chuck. Good info and looking forward to the pics when you can.
you can see here where the leading edge is flat on the 73 bumper . the earlier ones were more rounded . i don't have an example of this though . there was a whole big long thread about this but my search is acting up ..
Anybody sale the rubber strips for this bumpers?
I've found the bumpers with the slots all the way down it but never the rubber for it. Good luck.
I've found the rubber fillers but they all say for 70-73 and from what I've read a 73 is different from 70-72 (longer) for the new 5 mph impact rules in 73. My old bumper has them still on it, but will they fit the new 70-73 bumper, who knows. The Fbody $120 bumper says it is a golden star BU01-70R which sales for around $179-$200 everywhere else. I might have to give it a try.
When I got my bumper from the bumper boyz rechromers the first bumper they pulled out was a rubber strip bumper. Give them a call they have a lot of bumpers. The chrome on mine is nice, I can't complain. They go to shows all over the US. They're out of L A Cali. Worth a call. Good luck
Danny @ Golden Star said the bumper is for the 70-72 but will fit the 73. Ordered one
