Scanned the 1970 wiring diagrams for you...

The 1970 diagrams do not differentiate between 'Gauges' and 'No Gauges', but the 1974 diagrams do... so we might be mixing things up here.

Here are four LARGE images of the 1970 wiring diagrams:

Look on page three (third link) where it says 'Printed Circuit Conn.' That's what hooks into the 1970 gauges. Confirm that your wiring harness matches the colors on these wiring diagrams before you cut anything.

Follow the wires through the diagram and confirm that your car has all the connections/senders shown on the diagrams. Spend some time. It may save you from cutting up a functioning wire harness.

Keep in mind that the connector shapes on these old diagrams are accurate to what you'll see in the car, and are mirrored from page to page, not superimposed. Look at the asymmetric connectors going between pages 2 and 3 and you'll see what I mean.

Let us know what you find out.

    Cluster upgrade

I want to thank everyone who asked all the right questions and those who replied with all the right answers to this topic. I am new to this site and a new 1970 Camaro owner as of two weeks ago. I completed the change over to the U14 gauge package with the help of the information I found here. Everything went smooth. Thank you.
