I cannot seem to find a definitive answer for this. I need new front seat tracks for a 70 Camaro. It would appear no one manufactures these. Will front seat tracks from a 71 Camaro bolt up and function properly ? I don't care if the adjustment arm is in the front vs the side of the seat.

    Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure they will bolt up but the front-back adjustment lever was moved to the front from the side in 71. 70 only had it on the side, so it won't look original, if that matters.
The ones that wont work are the 75 and later as the passenger side floor was changed for the cat converter clearance

Awesome. Thanks. I searched all over and that validates what I could find, I just wasn’t sure. It’s a restomod, so I’m good that it won’t look original. I just want the seats to operate normally. Owner before me modified the original tracks so that they were fixed.

    Appreciate the help.

Actually better to use 71 to 74's. In 70, the tracks has these stupid plastic guide bushings in the front of the tracks that cracked and fragmented over time, making the tracks very sloppy. They don't repop the bushings so you either have to carve them out of a piece of plastic or create a set using a 3D printer which is what I did. If anyone needs the file to print their own, let me know. I drew them up in a CAD program and have a .stl file I can share. I would attach to this post, but it won't let me attach an .stl file type.

Hmmm....I was pretty sure the 1970 tracks were 1970 specific....but the floor is the same 70-74

Also, just as FYI.....the 70 tracks are taller than 71 tracks....don't know if that'll be an issue for you or not.

Sorry for high-jacking the thread. But I have a set of 79 camaro seats im using in my 70. I read above that the passenger seat track is not the same. Can there be any modification to be able to use? Thanbks in advance.

I would love to have the parts to repair my drivers seat tracks on my 1970 Z28. Any chance you could make me some? I would gladly pay you for them!

I think I put an extensive write-up in my build page on the seat tracks.
