Help, I have a 1970 Camaro that had big block engine and frame mounts. I am trying to locate frame mounts for a SBC for a 70 camaro. I can find most anything that fits a 1st gen Camaro and some early 70's nova's such as this from Jegs. But it does not list as compatible for a 1970 Camaro.

Question, will a first gen frame mount work for an early 2nd gen. Any help is appreciated.

Simple answer is no...1sts Gen frame mounts will not fit/function on a 2nd Gen. However, if you already have the 70-71 big block mounts, purchase the engine-side motor mounts for a 70 Z28 and you should be good to go. The 70 Z28 and 70 SS396 used the same frame-side mounts.

Does anyone know where you can purchase frame mounts for a 72 Camaro with SBC Engine?? I purchased a Roller with No Engine and No Tranny. I have an Engine and Engine Mounts, but the Frame Mounts were gone, and I have not been able to find anything...

I think the trans crossmember is different too. The big block and Z-mounts move the engine to the side. The only automatic cross member is for a TH-400. If you use the regular small block mounts and the TH400 crossmember from a big block/Z I think you might braak the trans casing. All TH350 and powerglide crossmembers are for regular small block mounts.
