Do 1970 and 1971 Camaros use the same Horns? If so what are the high n low note horn numbers. Thanks
1970 Camaros had dual horns standard. 1971 Camaros had a single horn, and the option list does not show any option to order a second one.
I did not know that thanks for the info. Did all 1971 camaros get the 289 low note horn mounted on the passenger side then? Did all 1971 Camaro radiator supports only have one hole for the horn wire or still have two holes only one got a grommet and wire passed through?
My 1970 L is 9000 289. I can't make out the other horn after 9000.
I have a 71 RS and there was a single horn but there are wires for 2 coming from the harness on either side of the support about 12" apart. I still have the original horn but cannot see the numbers on it.
Im still getting around to research this, but I'm thinking the 1969 and 1970 horns are the exact same. 71 and up are different.
My 71 has a single, passenger side mounted, 289 low horn. (I like reviving old threads).
Even though the 1971 Camaros have only one horn, the horn harness is the same as 1970 — with connectors for two horns. There are two holes in the radiator support for the RH and LH horn wires but only the passenger side is used and only the passenger side has a wire grommet.
289 and 290 for 1970 on mine.
