I noticed it and was going to mention it Chuck. I did research the TT and code 17, The dark pictures really don't reveal the paint color very well. Troy the holes in the floor reflect exactly what you said. Someone may have blown a clutch at sometime.

Dang, I wish I had a friend like you. You could come over and help me fix my car. Any way. It sounds like you might be falling for a Chevy over your Mopars. I always like Chevelles and Cutlasses and never wanted a Camaro. That is until I ended up with one. Lots of fun to drive.

The gas pedal is also not original.

Yes, only the Z28 got the 8k tach. The welded in rear sway bar brackets are 70-74 items. You could get a rear sway bar on any model, but the Z28 had the larger rear sway bars front and rear. There are lots of unique parts...check out the link http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro70.html...lot of really good info. Original radiators are difficult to find and expensive when you do. There's a slew of items...too many to cover in a post. I recall there was a thread in the Original Drivetrain section listing all of the 1970-only unique items...cannot find it right now, but that would be a good start to understand what items common to all 1970 Camaros are still in place on your friend's car.

IMG_0356.JPG IMG_0354.JPG I tried to click on the post above but it did not work.
To be truly honest I like all muscle cars but I just know more about Mopars. Here is a couple photos of my Hemi Dart clone.

IMG_1886.JPG IMG_1885.JPG I don't see AC Delco anywhere on it so I don't believe the gerulator is original....but there is this number.
