Has anyone ever used the clay bar before? The WS6 has a little bit of over spray on the front end. It's like the previous owner drove into a mist of paint. It isn't bad, but want to clean it off.

I clay bar my cars atleast once a year. Easy to do, get the mothers or meguiars kit and use the detailing spray. Just don't drop the bar, if you do, it is ruined because it will scratch the paint. You will be surprised at what it takes off the paint. Just spray the panel, then rub the bar back and forth, after a little use, just knead the bar and continue. Then follow with wax as the clay bar strips the wax off.

As for over spray, if it is light enough I would use the clay bar, otherwise you may want to use some compound by hand.

I've never heard of using water. The 'wax as you dry' spray works great.

Chuck and someone mentioned in a previous thread about using it on glass. I had never done that prior, but the difference was incredible.

I use clay bar from Meguires. Use detail spray, not water for the lubricant. It works well & youll be surprized how much crap is on your paints' surface.

Heres a before and after of the roof on my 93 Z28

I use either the Meguairs or Mothers kits. Keep the area your working wet with the detail spray.

You will be able to feel when the overspray is gone, the bar will slide smoothly across the paint. I'd do the whole car including your glass.

It will remove any wax. So wax after your done.

How's your paint look? Any swirls, etc? I have some stuff that will make that black pop!!!

My brother says that he has some good detail stuff including the clay bar. He is VERY anal abut his vettes. But there's really nothing wrong with that since they are immaculate.

Use Pre-kleano from NAPA or WD-40 to remove over spray.

i use Mothers Claybar and detail spray on my Camaro once a year and it makes the paint really shine . Also for those who don't know this but using a claybar on your windshield and all other glass makes it look very clean and very clear !!
